For my graduation project at Diversey, I worked on redesigning a closed-loop packaging system to help it comply with the upcoming EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
The project focused on balancing sustainability, safety, ease of use, and technical feasibility. During the project, I researched circular packaging, recyclability, recycled materials, and upcoming EU regulations, while analysing current packaging systems and developing new design directions, CAD models, prototypes, and concept solutions.
Besides developing my skills as an Industrial Design Engineer, this project also helped me grow in project management. Working with different stakeholders and departments taught me how important communication, planning, research, and structured decision-making are within complex product development projects.
The combination of sustainability, engineering, strategy, and product development made this one of the most valuable projects I’ve worked on so far.
Final grade: 9/10

For MACNAS, I contributed to designing an eco-friendly, fully compostable bag that balanced sustainability with functionality. Working on this project challenged me to think critically about materials, lifecycle impact, and user needs. From prototyping to refining the final design, I gained hands-on experience in sustainable product development and problem-solving. It was a rewarding opportunity to merge innovation with environmental responsibility, reinforcing my passion for practical, impact-driven design.
For Rabobank, I helped design a concept-platform that provides real-time energy insights using AR and NFC technology. Users could scan appliances to track energy usage instantly. This project sharpened my skills in UX, data visualization, and sustainable design, balancing technology and accessibility.

For ÆRFAL Automotive, I designed the logo, branding, and visual identity, ensuring a look that reflects luxury, performance, and exclusivity for the Porsche 904 restomod. This project allowed me to craft a cohesive brand story, blending high-end aesthetics with innovation, and sharpened my skills in strategic design and automotive branding.
For Tomato World, I designed a robotic arm head to optimize harvesting and plant care in greenhouse farming. Focused on efficiency and automation, this solution reduces manual labor while improving crop quality. The project strengthened my skills in robotics, problem-solving, and agricultural innovation.

The Race of the Classics is one of the largest student sailing events in Europe, where hundreds of students compete aboard traditional sailing ships (tallships) in a multi-day race across the North Sea between the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.
As part of the Race Committee, I was responsible for organizing and coordinating the races throughout the event. My role included designing and plotting race courses, coordinating race operations, and maintaining communication with skippers and team leads to ensure races were conducted safely, fairly, and efficiently. I was closely involved in operational decision-making, adapting race plans to changing conditions, and managing on-water logistics during the event.
The role required strong project management, leadership, and communication skills, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and make decisions in dynamic, high-pressure environments.

An I-4 instructor mentors advanced sailors and instructors in their development, both technically and pedagogically. The role includes providing training, developing sports technical policies, coaching instructors-in-training, and conducting examinations. As an i4 instructor, you tailor training and guidance to the specific learning needs of individuals, aiming to achieve optimal learning outcomes.

As Secretary of Team Zeilers, I coordinated logistics and team communication for the Race of the Classics, an unforgettable mix of adventure, teamwork, and strategy. Sailing a historic vessel taught me to manage projects, problem-solve under pressure, and lead in dynamic environments. This experience strengthened my passion for sailing and teamwork while honing my organizational skills.
